Warranty ~

Ed's Transmission base warranty is twelve months, 12K miles from the date of purchase (Higher Warranties are available). We take pride in the rebuilt units we sell and take every precaution to ensure that every unit we sell is trouble free. Should there be problem with a unit, Ed's Transmission is not responsible for consequential expenses such as travel, hotels, meals, towing, rent a car, etc.

Ed's Transmission is responsible for paying 1/2 of the labor flat rate listed in the current Mitchell Parts and time Guide at the going dollar rate for your area. Ed's Transmission reserves the right to make the repairs themselves.

All warranty claims must be pre-authorized by Ed's Transmission. Any claim submitted for reimbursement under this warranty must be accompanied by a pre-authorized claim number issued by Ed's Transmission. All warranty reimbursements will be made to the party appearing on the original invoice only.

1.  All units are shipped dry. Please refer to the owner's manual for dealer specifications for proper lube. Please call if there is
    any doubt. Warranty is void if the incorrect lubricant is used.
2.  Warranty on rebuilt units will be void if the unit is returned "burnt up". It is the customer's responsibility to be aware of leaks
     and get them taken care of before melt down occurs. Leaks are covered under warranty, burned up transmissions are not.
3.  Rebuilt units with broken gears are covered under warranty. Units with broken gears due to abuse are not covered under
     warranty.
4.  Cooler flow is very critical on a remanufactured transmission. When in doubt call us, we can recommend a solution to
     ensure long life of your transmission.

1.  All cores returned must have a copy of the original invoice or core return form.
2.  Freight charges on core returns is the customers responsibility.
3.  50% of the core deposit or replacement cost will be made for damaged cases and/or rear housings, whichever is less. 10%
     of the core deposit will be charged for all disassembled transmission cores. Prices subject to change without notice.
4.  ED'S FACTORY EXCHANGE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS are dynamometer tested under load with full engine power.
     Shift patterns and oil pressure checks, as well as recommended stall tests simulating "in the car" operation, are applied to
     all transmissions. With a good installation, your Exchange Transmission will give smooth, trouble-free performance and
     lasting service.
