Every Ed's Transmission is completely disassembled
Soft parts such as seals, gaskets, filters, o-rings etc. are discarded
All parts are thoroughly cleaned with High pressure/ High temperature system specifically designed for Transmissions
Transmission cleaning includes Individual Component Hand Washing with Solvent operation under Pressure while cycled with appropriate voltage.

Every part of the Transmission is scrutinized by our Trained Technician's.

Cases are inspected for Distortion, Crack's & bad Threads. Cases are also checked for Flatness at Valvebody mating surfaces to prevent cross leaks.
Hard Parts such as Planetarys, Pumps, Gears, Shafts etc. are individually checked for Spline Damage, Correct Tolerances, Excessive Clearances, Stress Fracture's & Any Unusual Wear.
Electrical Component's Solenoids, Forcemotors, Switches & Wiring common in Today's Computer Controlled Transmissions are also tested with special tools. Test Boxes check Solenoids and Switches for proper operation under Pressure while cycled with appropriate voltage.

All Internal Parts are removed Valves, Springs, and Bore's inspected for Wear, Scoring & Distortion and Replaced if not within specifications.
Casting checked to insure no Distortion & Resurfaced to insure flatness
Valve's and Spring's checked for proper Tension's & Applications
Tested on the Answermatic Valve Body Test unit prior to being assembled with the Transmission Ensuring Smooth Trouble free Operatio

Our Technicians Assembling the unit's have years of experience. Constantly updating their skills through seminars & training centers to insure they have the latest Information, Technique's & Tools to do the job right the first time
Each unit is assembled with a Standard set of New Parts of the Highest Quality Gaskets, Seals, Bushings, Washers, Bearings, Sprags, Friction Clutch Plates etc.
Prior to assembly each Transmission is checked to see if any updates are required to enhance the life of the unit/ These updates are put in to correct any Engineering Defects from the Manufacturer.

Once the unit is complete it is subjected to rigorous Testing on One of Three Dynamometers under Various Load's and Temperature/ Check's include the following:

1. Pressure Check through all Gear's to insure no internal leakage
2. Proper Shift Timing & Patterns Up and Down
3. Heavy Load Test to check for Slippage & Gear train noises
4. Torque Converter Lockup, Cooler Flow & Stall Test
5. Park Test & Check for External Leakage

When the testing is complete you will receive a copy of all the Test's performed. This will verify that your Transmission has passed Extensive Quality Control Procedures

Ed's has over 600 new or remanufactured Dyno-Tested Unit's ready for immediate delivery
All unit's are shipped with a remanufactured Torque Converter
